Backup & Disaster Recovery Services in Uganda
Most Ugandan businesses have no tested backup. When ransomware hits, a server fails, or a flood takes out your server room, the cost can be devastating. We implement and test robust backup and disaster recovery solutions so you can recover in hours, not weeks.

Backup and disaster recovery that actually works
A backup that has never been tested is a backup that might not work when you need it most. We implement, document, and regularly test your recovery procedures.
3-2-1 backup architecture
3 copies of your data, on 2 different media types, with 1 copy offsite. This standard protects against hardware failure, ransomware, fire, and flood simultaneously.
Cloud backup
Encrypted, automated backup to AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Backblaze B2. Offsite cloud backup protects against physical disasters at your premises.
Automated daily backups
Set-and-forget automated backup jobs running daily, weekly, and monthly. Backup success is monitored automatically — we alert you on any failure.
RTO & RPO testing
We test your recovery every quarter, measuring Recovery Time Objective (how fast) and Recovery Point Objective (how much data). You know your actual recovery capability.
Disaster recovery plan
A written DR runbook your team can follow under pressure — step-by-step recovery procedures for each scenario, with contact lists and decision trees.
Ransomware-protected backups
Immutable backups that ransomware cannot encrypt or delete. Air-gapped copies ensure you can always recover even after a total ransomware infection.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
We have an external hard drive we back up to occasionally — is that enough?
No. A single external drive fails, can be stolen, and is destroyed in a fire or flood along with your main hardware. The 3-2-1 approach adds offsite and cloud copies for genuine protection.
How do we know our backups are actually working?
We monitor backup job completion daily and alert you immediately on any failure. We also conduct quarterly restore tests and provide you with a report confirming that we successfully recovered your data.
How do cloud backups work with Uganda's internet speeds?
The first full backup can be large — we schedule it during off-peak hours. Subsequent daily backups are incremental (only changed files), typically 1–5GB per day, which uploads fine on standard fibre or 4G connections.
